Human Consciousness x Superintelligence

We still didn’t reach consensus on a single definition for “Consciousness”. Though our focus is not on its accuracy, but on viewing it as an ever existing, irreplaceable, mysterious, overlapping property that’s in all of us at the same time, powering our sense of self & beautifully collaborating with our internal intelligence systems every second.

We already lost a big chunk of our subconscious operating system to algorithms & doomscrolling - which rotted brains and decided the collective mood of humanity for more than a decade. As our brains rotted, we found new ways to cope. One such is outsourcing our own intelligence to machines. As we outsource more & more of our capabilities, what we’re multiplying isn’t our own intelligence, but of the machines’.

Hence, as AIs continue capturing entire digital lives and acting on our behalf, being intentional and surgically precise about what should and shouldn’t be outsourced is going to be a powerful human trait that determines if this is going to be an age of abundance, or extinction.

This isn’t a revolt against Machine Intelligence, but instead an effort to ensure that the relationship between human consciousness & emerging super-intelligence reaches equilibrium, one that strictly prioritizes advancing & unlocking untapped innate human mental capabilities.
